Jim Rawles runs one of the best survival blogs out there. Each day there is a handful of fresh posts on various subjects, including Jim’s responses to them from time to time. Other readers write in to respond to posts, often adding new valuable information to the original post. Jim offers prizes for the best post that often include water filters, gift certificates, and other survival items. The blog includes an excellent collection of links and a massive range of categories to dig up old archived articles from. Go check it out!

What is SurvivalBlog?

I’m Jim Rawles, a survivalist author. I’m a former U.S. Army Intelligence officer and technical writer. I now work as a full-time blogger, retreat consultant, and freelance writer. SurvivalBlog is my creation, but because of SurvivalBlog, I’m part of something bigger: a virtual community of some of the most brilliant people that you could ever meet. Despite our differences, we all have an interest in preparedness.

For details on my survivalist philosophy see my Precepts page.
